About us
The foundation of the teachers and graduates of the “Mircea cel Bătrân” National College in Constanța, active since 2001.

2001
The Alumni Academic Foundation of the “Mircea cel Bătrân” National College in Constanța was set up in 2001 on the initiative of the college’s teaching staff at the time and a group of its graduates.
Our aims
The founding members created the foundation to promote educational, scientific, cultural, tourism, sports, civic and social programmes aimed at:
- supporting pre-university education, especially the work of the teachers, pupils and graduates of the “Mircea cel Bătrân” National College;
- cultivating and promoting national and universal cultural values and bringing Romanian values into the European mainstream;
- defending human rights and protecting the environment.

What we do
Over the years, the foundation has run European and national projects together with universities, professional associations, schools and public institutions in Romania and across Europe:
- training programmes for teachers, teacher trainers and head teachers;
- projects preventing early school leaving, working with families and the community;
